It’s always sad to send our seniors off at the end of the year. However, we’ve got to acknowledge that they’re moving on to a new chapter of their life and are about to accomplish even greater achievements. One fellow senior, who I wholeheartedly believe will reach great heights is Grace Yoon. She’s going to Harvard University to study Economics. When asked about her favorite moment in Bearfacts, she replied, “ I absolutely adored filming the Christmas edition of the promotional video.” Grace began writing the Pearls of Wisdom column after Mrs. Benjamin told her how much she would miss those inspirational quotes that Grace wrote on her white board every morning before homeroom. Mrs. B said she should write inspirational quotes for Bearfacts instead, sharing them with everyone. On her column, Grace remarked, “It’s just a feel good column that I hope encourages or makes someone smile when they read it.” A fun fact about Grace is that she had five ear surgeries. No matter where Grace’s future journey leads, may her vibrant personality and cheerful smile last forever! Her presence will be greatly missed at Vestal High School.
