With the pressures I’ve been feeling from school, my social life, and my family, it’s easy to forget how important it is to appreciate the little things. I love nothing more than to close my bathroom door and call out for my Alexa to play my favorite songs. I take that time to fully indulge in skincare and spontaneous dance moves. Taking the time to reflect on my day by quietly singing along to songs, rubbing my face with overpriced face cream, and listening to the words of songs I solemnly relate to, reminds me to love myself and my time on this Earth. It’s “me time”, the bathroom door is locked for a reason.
