Overview
Heartopia is a Steam game created by XD Entertainment, playable on PC, iOS, and Android. In Heartopia, you play as your own customizable character, living in a customizable house. The game features numerous different things to do, such as completing quests, where you complete certain tasks for different NPCs to gain rewards. Hobbies, where you participate in an activity like fishing or bug catching, to level up that hobby and progress in the game. Building your own avatar and house, acquiring new clothes, accessories, furniture, and even pets that you can feed, play with, and train. The map also has several different biomes, or areas, that you can explore to find new types of bugs, animals, birds, fish, plants, etc. All of this and more give the game several dozen hours worth of playtime, and you’ll still have more to do. Many different limited-time events happen throughout the game, where you can obtain limited-time clothes, plants, furniture, and other things.
Personal Opinion
I’ve played Heartopia for almost 30 hours now over the course of around a month, and at this point, I’ve experienced a lot of the things the game has to offer, though I haven’t accomplished any major things in the game yet. When I was first introduced to the game, I didn’t like it too much because there were so many different things I had to keep track of and do, though I later realized it was actually a lot simpler than I thought. At this point, I play the game every day, and I do enjoy a lot of parts about the game, some more than others, but that’s another great thing about Heartopia: how many things are available to do in it. There are several hobbies, so if you don’t like one, there are other options, and if you don’t like doing some specific task, then there are other options available to you. What I will say is that the game is very peaceful and more of a relaxing, calming game, so if that’s not what you’re interested in, then this game likely wouldn’t be for you. Either way, I would still at least give it a try. It’s a free game, so you won’t be losing anything but a couple of minutes even if you don’t like it. If I had to say one flaw of the game, it would definitely be the building mode in the game. As I mentioned before, you can get new furniture, walls, whatever you want to build yourself a house, but the building itself can get pretty annoying to do. Another thing is that since this game was meant to be played on mobile, rather than PC, if you’re playing it on PC, then the camera can sometimes glitch and automatically do mouse tracking, which is basically just following wherever your mouse goes. This can get really annoying when you’re trying to do any tasks or even just walk. There’s no setting that can fix this, but sometimes just clicking can fix it. Other than that, I would say the game is really good in my opinion, and that’s coming from someone who normally does like PVP, PVE-type fighting games rather than more slice-of-life games.
Why I Would Recommend Heartopia
Heartopia is a game that I would recommend for anyone who has a PC, iOS, or Android. There are several reasons for my recommendation, but one of the easiest ones to name is that it’s free. While there are in-game purchases you can make, the actual game itself is free to anyone, giving easy access to anyone who wants to try it out. The game also features a large variety of different things to do, of which I’ve only named a couple, so it has the potential to appeal to several different preferences. The game also isn’t time or effort-demanding. All the tasks, while some may take a bit of time, none of them are actually hard to accomplish, and you don’t really need to invest that much time into the game to get good at it. Some features of the game also progress even when you’re not playing, an example being gardening, where your plants will grow even when offline. So even if you’re not a person who has a lot of time, or you just don’t get the feeling to play very often, you can still make progress. This is why I would recommend Heartopia.
