Not-so-Empty-Garden
Once in a radiant sunrise,
In my favorite corner of the yard,
I spread flower seeds across the green,
Swore hope would never leave my heart.
Once in a passing golden hour,
The people said, an empty lot,
If only they saw as I did,
If only they knew what I sought.
