beautiful as a sunset
powerful like the ocean
smooth yet technical
discovering harmony in a crowded room
we dancers tend to believe
our moves are remarkable
our emotions speak through
our movements and fluidity
communicating without words
we dance
through night and through day
in isolation or community
pondering
pouring our emotions
forgetting our loved ones
into choreography
no one will understand
dance is not something to be understood
but to be interpreted
grasping the arts of movement and song
all in one
dance is pure power
contained between
the mind of the dancer
and the eyes of the audience
only for those who believe
in its capacity
for dance is something lovely
and it does not appeal to those
close minded
dance appeals to the heart
and soul
of human nature
not to the brain
or logistics
but to the emotions
and all must watch
connect and understand
through our dances
the message we send
expressing our feelings
through art
