Welcome back from Winter Break and say hello to the January Music Department News update!
This month’s got exciting performances and delicious fundraisers to boot, so you don’t want to miss this month’s news! I’m your writer, Matt Zahirovich here telling you all about what’s going on Behind The Curtain!
Upcoming Performances:
The Vestal Jazz Band and Chamber Orchestra will be performing this month on January 14th 2025. They’ll be having a wide range of performances and a “Be the Conductor” raffle going on in order to raise money. It’ll be starting at 7pm and will likely go on until 8:30pm, it’ll be held in the VHS Cafeteria and all students and staff are welcome to attend. See you there!
The Vestal Voices will be holding their yearly Dessert Cabaret this month on January 16th, 2o25. Members of the group will have the opportunity to perform any song they choose accompanied by anyone who joins. Staying true to the name they’ll also have a selection of student made dessert available to those who attend after paying the small fee of $5 for students and $8 for adults. It’ll start at 7pm and may last until around 8:30-9pm. It’ll be held in the cafeteria and all staff and students will be welcome to attend. Please come watch!
Music Trip Information:
The Vestal Musical Department’s trip to Williamsburg Virginia has more delicious updates! The Krispy Kreme donut fundraiser has just gone live! You’ll be able to order a decadent dozen donuts for a dozen dollars that’ll be handed to you sometime near the end of January, straight from a real Krispy Kreme establishment, delivered after a short drive to the high school. It’d be silly to miss out on this deal on donuts you can’t really get anywhere else without a long drive, hope you get some for yourself and your family!
