Meet Our New Athletic Secretary: Ms. Olivia Martino!

To welcome the new athletic secretary of our school, Ms. Olivia Martino, I sat down with her to get to know her and her story. Ms. Martino is from the area, graduating from the school across the river, Union Endicott High School. While in high school, Ms. Martino was active in sports, playing volleyball and softball. Today, Ms. Martino continues to play volleyball in adult leagues, which makes sense because it’s her favorite sport! After high school, Ms. Martino attended Seton Hall University and majored in Communications, preparing her for her current profession as the Vestal High School Athletic Secretary. Being an athletic secretary is a daunting task, entailing organizing sports games, transport, referees, and more. As well as organizing, Ms. Martino also manages the athletic’s social media account as well as assisting the Physical Education teachers in their jobs. Ms. Martino is thrilled to be a part of the Golden Bear community where she hopes to “encourage athletes to have fun!”
