Bob stared deeply into his lava lamp across his bed. It was a Sunday night, and he had been lying on his bed for quite some time. To entertain himself, he watched the luminous blobs hovering slowly inside as he thought, Man, this lava lamp is too slow! I wonder if I can speed them up. Intrigued yet unsatisfied, he wished for the lava to move faster. What else should he do? He was bored in his room alone with nothing else happening that day as he thought, I wonder if I can use my stove to make the liquid inside react faster! Carrying his lava lamp downstairs to the kitchen, he placed it on the stovetop and turned up the gas. Standing before it, he watched as the blobs inside moved faster and faster, forming a conglomerate of mixture inside. Suddenly, the lava lamp burst all over the room, glass shards flying in every direction. One of the shards lodged deep into his heart, fatally wounding him as he tried to crawl back into his bedroom. Police found Bob dead, and there was nothing they could do but wonder why he would make such a foolish mistake.
