During the holidays, our family tradition is having our whole family come over! These loving guests, including my grandparents, cousins, and uncle, all gather together on Christmas Day to share a beautiful meal cooked by my mother. We laugh, talk, and enjoy each other’s company since it’s not often we can get together.
Additionally, one of my immediate family’s traditions is to bake my great-grandmother’s butter cookies. We make nearly fifteen batches. Then, we go to the store, buy all of the Christmas tins in sight, and walk around delivering the cookies to neighbors, sharing the magical cheer and excitement that is the holiday season!
I, of course, enjoy not being at school, but more importantly, I love spending time with my family and friends. Together we recall fun memories, and enjoy delicious food! I cannot wait for our holiday break!
