A small thing I am thankful for is orchestra class. I joke around how it is the only reason I go to school, but, in reality, I don’t know what I’d do without it. Having it first period every day is one of the only things I look forward to during school. Taking IB chemistry, AP World, and Algebra 2, Orchestra feels like the only breather I get throughout the day. A moment where I am with some of my closest friends and amazing teacher, Ms. Wilson, 30% playing violin, 60% fooling around, and 10% eating Zots (WE LOVE YOU MS. WILSON). Not only is the class a wonderful part of my day, but spending time in study hall and having lunch there is enjoyable too. I’m not too fond of the dirty, loud, and claustrophobic cafeteria, so sitting with my friends and Ms. Wilson and playing our instruments together is like a dream come true. Being a music kid in Vestal High School is overall just an amazing experience, a way to be in a sort of small family with like-minded people. Plus we go on a music trip every year as a bonus!
