It’s counterintuitive, but taking down Halloween decorations reminds me most of the holiday season. It might be more of a chore than a tradition, but I cherish these late-autumn-early-winter moments. Removing fall decorations reminds me of the upcoming new year and the opportunities it may hold, almost like memory management—deleting old photos to make space for new ones. On the less philosophical side, taking down autumn adornments is a chance for me to help out my parents and spend time with them.
