Avatar: The Way of Water

A sequel awaited for thirteen years, Avatar: The Way of Water brings back the story of Pandora and tells the story of the next generation. It was directed and produced by James Cameron, who was also the director of the first Avatar movie, and the screenplay was written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. Sam Worthington (Jake Sully), Zoe SaldaƱa (Neytiri), Stephen Lang (Colonel Miles Quaritch), Joel David Moore (Dr. Norm Spellman), CCH Pounder (Mo’at), Giovanni Ribisi (Parker Selfridge), Dileep Rao (Dr. Max Patel), and Matt Gerald (Corporal Lyle Wainfleet) reprised their roles from the original film, with additions from Kate Winslet (Ronal), Cliff Curtis (Tonowari) and many more. The movie follows the lives of Sully, Neytiri, and their children as the US Marines, led by Colonel Quaritch, return to kill Sully once and for all after the events of the first movie. The film has grossed over $1.752 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2022 and the seventh-highest-grossing film of all time.
