Senior Athlete Spotlight: Jordan Gannon

I had the chance to ask Jordan about her high school athletic career, and here is what she shared:
Jordan Gannon started cheerleading when she was 6 after her family moved to Vestal. When she was a freshman, she joined the team. She did one season of Junior Varsity Cheer, and 7 seasons of Varsity Cheer.
Jordan shared her biggest superstition with me, which is that before competing, she always talks with her stunt group to make sure everyone takes a deep breath and that everyone is calm. She said that when they all talk and take deep breaths before competing, they are calmer and do a great job competing and there are more chances of hitting stunts successfully.
Jordan states that she loves being a part of the Cheer team due to her teammates being there to get her hyped up! She likes having someone there to help correct her and make her feel excited. She also loves the support system on the team.
Jordan’s favorite Cheer memory was going to Nationals in Florida. She said that along with her teammates, she made the best memories that will be unforgettable.
Outside of Cheer, Jordan’s favorite hobbies are spending time with family and friends. She loves to have a great time. She is always doing something she enjoys and says time goes on fast when not cheering.

Vestal couldn’t be prouder of you, Jordan!
