Juniors:

Junior Parent Night is March 8, 2022. 7 colleges will be attending such as Binghamton University, RIT, and more. They will be talking about the admissions process, SATS, what’s new at their colleges and the event will be streamed on zoom for everyone’s convenience.

There are two Junior field trips to SUNY Broome and Binghamton University for Juniors to get a tour and ask questions about the colleges.

Junior Prom is also coming up quickly with March being the month of preparation and everyone is extremely excited

Seniors:

Scholarships are awarded to Seniors on scholarship night, a night that is both exciting and rewarding for everyone involved. They have 100,000 to give away and plenty of deserving students ready to receive some assistance.

SAT:

Concealers have met with Junior classrooms about preparing and signing up for the SATS

SATS in 2024 spring will be changing the game, teaming up with the college board to have a completely computer-based test that will have different levels for varying abilities. There are still many questions to come with the change but it is something freshmen can look forward to.

Programs:

BOCES offers many services, but the one that Vestal is super excited to explore is growing your own teachers. In conjunction with Broome and BC, students will be able to take a two-year program resulting in working in a real classroom setting with younger students.

Binghamton University also helps to provide resources to surrounding schools offering programs that conform to the needs of both students and their schools.
