How to catch a snowflake on your tongue

beautiful just like a rose and stung

tell me this is not the end for us

I need you even though

I’m no longer young

Is it already time to bloom?

My stem is short

And I can’t see the sun

But I’m still reaching,

So teach me how you light up the room

Finger painting on the pavement

Sewers flooding down below

Summer’s gone

But the fun’s still fighting

Like a sunset in the afterglow

Now baby you are all grown up

The clock’s still ticking

And the train’s heading out

Stop reaching for snowflakes

But keep your chin up.
