Living In the Moment

Living In the Moment

Marina Zakrajsek, Guidance News Columnist

My resolution this year is just to live my life. That sounds cliche, but I think that’s the point. Obviously, the pandemic affected everyone’s lives differently, I only recall the last two years of high school as sections that feel like a couple months. This year I want to take in the experiences that I didn’t have the ability to in the past two years, like driving, hanging with friends, and traveling. New Year’s resolutions are about all the things we aren’t or all the things we don’t have and plan to achieve. You want to eat healthier because you don’t or you go to the gym because you’ve been ignoring it last year. New Year’s resolutions should be about living in the New Year and embracing some of the things we already have. I am going to take the time to live my life, because that’s the point of living… isn’t it?
