New Goals for the School Year

New Goals for the School Year

Ellie Friedman, Pro / Con Columnist

New Year’s resolutions are a great way to evaluate your life. Especially for students, because New Year’s falls almost midway through the school year. My New Year’s resolution is to procrastinate less. When the school day is over, it’s very easy to grab a book to unwind for a few minutes, and end up finishing the book, rather than your homework. If there is anything I learned from the past couple years, it’s that life is not static. As kids living through a pandemic, we have lived through so much turmoil. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you’ve developed bad habits since the start of COVID. Instead, focus on creating better ones and setting achievable goals. To meet my New Year’s resolution, I’m working on a study schedule. I recommend spending time developing some sort of plan to keep yourself accountable. Remember, “A goal without a plan is just a wish” -Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
