The Vestal Science Olympiad recently competed at the Cornell Invitational in Ithaca, NY.  48 teams competed at the competition, the farthest coming all the way from Virginia. Although no one placed among the top 8, the A team for Detector Building (Saavan Kaneria and Teresa Pyo) placed 11th. The highest placers among the B team were Sophia Chiu and myself, competing in Geologic Mapping. However, this invitational was only a “mock competition” and Regionals will be taking place in February. Congratulations to all who competed. Go Vestal!
