History Club is meeting TODAY after school in Rm. 291. Be prepared to talk about your project. That’s, TODAY after school in Rm. 291.  See you then!

 

Join us for French Club TODAY after school in Rm. 240 as we celebrate “Frenchgiving”.  Please bring a French or Francophone dish to pass.

 

The Future Business Leaders of America Club will be having a guest speaker, Mr. Joe Hashey from Synergy, this Thursday, November 8th at 2:45 PM in Rm. 181.

 

The Running of the Bears 5K Planning Committee will hold it’s first meeting this Friday, November 9th at 7:15 AM in Rm. 141.  All students or staff interested in helping to plan the race are invited to attend.  Please see Mrs. Darpino or Mrs. Schofield for more information.

The Dig Blue for Liam Volleyball Tournament has been moved from Saturday, November 10th to Saturday, November 17th.  Sign up soon. First 10 teams only will be accepted.  The cost is $60.00 per team of up to 6 – 10 Players.

Attention Seniors – Please stop by the Assistant Principals’ Office to pick up important information regarding ordering your cap & gown and announcements for graduation.   Take this information home and get your orders ready; a representative from Jostens will be here Wednesday and Thursday, November 14th & 15th, during lunch periods, to take your orders.  A $50.00 deposit is required for orders that are placed that total more than $50.00.

Attention Students – Are you interested in participating in Ski Club this year.  Stop by the Main Office or see Mr. Bowers for an information sheet on how to sign-up online.

Attention Students – Mark your calendars!!!  The all school King Bruin Dance is coming soon, and will be held on Saturday, December 15th from 8 PM – Midnight.  We have started the preparations for our 2018 Winter Wonderland.  Tickets will be sold the week of the dance (Monday, December 10th  – Friday, December 14th ).  NO tickets will be sold at the door.  Dance Guest forms for non-Vestal students are available in the Main Office and are due to the Main Office by Friday, December 7th.  Remember, all non-Vestal guests must be pre-approved by Mr. Kasson and no middle school aged students are allowed.

Attention Seniors – – Today is a Counselors on Call day!!  Please bring your college-related questions to the Counseling & Guidance Office during any of the lunch periods.  No appointment necessary.  See you there!!

 

Volunteer Opportunity

 

Attention Students, especially seniors! – want to get a head start on those volunteer service hours?  The Vestal Holiday Craft Fair needs volunteers for Sunday, December 2nd.  The event is here at the high school and the volunteers are needed from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm.  You may work just a 2 hour shift or stay longer!  If you would like to volunteer, please go to the Counseling & Guidance Office to sign up TODAY!

 

Attention Students, especially seniors and NHS members! – looking for volunteer service hours?  The Discovery Center is looking for volunteers to help out at a few of their upcoming events. Saturday, December 1st is Breakfast with Santa.  Over winter break, December 31st thru January 3rd, their theme will be Animals and Saturday, February 2nd is Chinese New Year. If you would like to volunteer for any of these events, please go to the Counseling & Guidance Office to sign up TODAY!

 

Attention Seniors – Seniors planning on attending SUNY Broome are encouraged to sign up for Instant Admit Day!  We will take a bus to SUNY Broome on Thursday, November 8th and you will choose a Major, apply to SUNY Broome, take a tour of the campus and have lunch!  Permissions slips are in the Counseling & Guidance Office and are due TODAY by 3 PM.  We can take 50 seniors.
